Welcome to The Traveler's Postcard Has Come

I am a traveler, and I write several travel blogs, each one for a  niche audience.

This blog, The Traveler's Postcard Has Come, showcases my postcard collection.

Postcards are inexpensive souvenirs, and can also be historical records. For example, I have a postcard which features an image of the city of Cheyenne, Wyoming, in 1908, and it's quite a contrast from the same scene today.

That train depot to the left is now the Historic Cheyenne Depot. It no longer handles trains, but there's a train museum in there, depicting the importance of trains to the founding and history of Cheyenne.

I'm assuming that that reddish-roofed building in the foreground is a roundabout, where they used to turn the trains around - that's no longer there.

The viaduct over the train tracks is still there, but it's got chainlink fencing all the way along it rather than what looks like wooden railing.

The card has a couple of water stains, including the small one on the skyline. To the right of that small stain is the dome of the Cheyenne Capitol Building, gleaming gold.

I've monetized this blog, in order to help finance my travels.

I always buy triplicates of any postcard that takes my fancy - so if you see a postcard here that interests you, you can buy it (except if they are historical postcards like the one above!)

I charge $2 to mail you the postcard from my home base in Cheyenne. If you wish it to be a pristine postcard, I'll have to purchase a large envelope and pay more postage, so that bumps the price up to $4. These prices are payable via Paypal.

Have any requests? Just email me via my Contact page. I also collect stretched pennies and National Park tokens. If you'd like a baseball cap or refrigerator magnet or something of that nature, I may or may not be able to accommodate you, you just need to ask!
